Manage Volunteers
Volunteers play a vital role emergency response. Yet if not managed effectively, this selfless donation of time and services not only goes to waste, volunteers can actually become liabilities. Thus one of the more valuable aspects of ALERTS is it's ability to manage and credential volunteers.
Initial volunteer enrollment can occur in person, whereupon an ALERTS user enters the relevant information - or it can be performed online with a volunteer self-registering via easy to use ALERTS screens. Next, an authorized user must screen and qualify a volunteer before they are accepted into ALERTS for potential assignment. Information about their qualifications and certification, their availability, and contact information is all managed by ALERTS. When needed ALERTS can automatically notify them of their activation.
Finally, when an authorized volunteer arrives for duty, ALERTS will print badges for them which may include photograph, qualifications, etc. In this way, liability is greatly reduces by insuring that only fully qualified and authorized volunteers are performing duties.
ALERTS also provides volunteers the ability to update their profiles (availability, contact information, etc.) on-line from any browser. This helps ensure that ALERTS always has current information on the volunteer pool.
